The ALUMNI CGI database is written in the PHP scripting language and uses MySQL as its backend. The source code is freely available on SourceForge.net, and is licensed under the terms of the below license (it's a standard "new" BSD license). Originally, the database was written in C using a flat-file "database" but was rewritten from scratch to greatly improve performance and provide more features.
